I have been searching for my brother is name at birth was Robert Hilton. I believe that the people who adopted him had relatives who lived in Cumnock and their name would be Phillips. This is not Roberts name and I cannot get any details from the Registrar in Scotland. He was born in Tunbridge, Kent and his birth mothers name was Marjorie Hilton (since deceased). Robert was born on the 23 September 1945 and would have been adopted most probably in 1948/9? Please if anyone knows of him you can email me on Joy44_2001@yahoo.com
I would be so happy just to know that he has had a good life. I was adopted in 1948 and I am twenty months older this is why I believe he was adopted at the same time as me. Our mother went to Canada. I have so much to tell him. I look forward hopefully to receiving some kind of reply as this search seams endless. Good luck to everyone else who is in the same predicament.
