HAMILTON -- Looking for information on the Hamilton family
who immigraed to Canada in Jun 1820 (on the "Prompt" ship)
with the Lesmahagow Emigration Society and settled in
Dalhousie, Lanark, Ontario. Also, looking for info on family
members who remained in Scotland. Believe that John Hamilton
was my GG grandfather. My Ggrandfather was John Millar Hamilton
born Feb 1822 in Dalhousie township - haven't been able to
make all of the connections. Your help is greatly appreciated.
