I am researching Forbes Family. Have gone back to William but am looking to fill in blanks and especially for his parents names. I have the following information:-
WILLIAM FORBES b.abt 1825 in Glasgow,died before 1876. He married ????? (1st wife unknown), then 2nd wife JANET GILMOUR b.abt 1831 daughter of MATTHEW GILMOUR & JEAN McLEAN. WILLIAM & JANET were married in Row,Dunbarton on 31 December 1851.
WILLIAM lived in Sinclair Street.
1851 census shows WILLIAM as lodger and widow at the age of 26. The address for the census is 74 Clyde Street,Row. JANET is shown as daughter aged 20.
WILLIAM was a tailor.
JANET was christened in Hutchensontown Relief Church, Glasgow.

Henry Steel Forbes
Catherine Williamson Forbes
Mary Forbes
Matthew Forbes
Catherine William Forbes
I have no information about the children with the exception of Henry Steel. They were all christened in Row and the dates that happened. I have extensive information on Henry Steel from whom I am a descendent.
Any information or family linkage help greatly appreciated.
