I am searching for info on the husband of Jane Johnston, widow, (in 1881 census at age 60).
She was born 1821 at Winchburgh, County Linlithlow, Scotland. In 1881 she lived at 117
Rose St, Govan, Glasgow, with her son James, 29, b1852 at Johnstone, County Renfrew, Scotland;
daughter Margaret, 26, b1855 at Winchburgh, single, with her daughter Jane Johnston age 4,
b1877 Glasgow; and daughter Grace, 24, b1857 at Johnstone, Renfrew. They were Cotton Mill
Workers. In 1851 mother Jane would have been age 30, so this census should show her
husband, not?? Margaret later married James Wright. Any connections to anyone?? Any
help greatly appreciated. Thanks...
