My grandfather John Campbell b:1858 Cumberland, mother Jane Irving, father Thomas Campbell, they married 1858 at Wigton, Cumberland. Thomas was born 1836 in Scotland, his father's name was John Campbell, it is Thomas & his father that I'm tracing. So far I've found only possible connections & need some confirmation if possible please.
1. Thomas b: Dec 1836 to John Campbell & Hannah Johnston at Auchinleck, Ayr.
2. Thomas chr: Dec 1836 to John Campbell & Mary Johnston at Auchinleck, Ayr. In 1858 Thomas lived & worked at Dockray Hall, Wigton, he was a 'husbandman' as was his father John. Thanks for any help, Peter
