Haley/Scanlan link to Scotland search. Kate Haley born in Dewsbury Yorkshire Eng. married John Scanlan @1850 and then went to US. Settled in Hancock County, Illinois and had at least 8 children. Suspicion is that they emigrated to Eng. from Scotland. Of course Kate was born in Eng, so her family may have moved a generation before John Scanlan. Can anyone help?
