Looking for info on a Scottish gentleman named Harry Fairlie who was married to an American by the name of Gail Goodin. She took her life in N.C. in the early 1940's. And left behind her husband, Harry and at least two young children who were living in Scotland at the time. I own an inn that Gail's mother owned at the time, in N.C., and it was in this dwelling where she ended her life. We believe Gail would have been in her mid 20's at the time of her death. Would love to hear from someone that can help piece this mystery together for us. We have seen an apparition of a young woman in our inn on three different occasions, over the last 6 years, and believe it to be related to this young woman's death. Her husband, Harry Fairlie was sailing across from Scotland on the Queen Mary to retrieve his deeply depressed wife the summer she ended her life.
