Hi, my name is Scott Campbell Wheeler and I am researching my mother's Campbell family. William CAMPBELL b. 1823 in Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland married Janet PURDON, b. 1925 in Glasgow on 30th August, 1944. They had approx. 11 children including:-
Willaim, b 1858 in Dalmellington, Ayr;
Jessie, b. 1854 in Govan, Lanark;
Margaret, b. 1856 in Damellington, Ayr;
Elspeth, b. 1861 in Govan, Lanark;
Christins, b. 1864 in Govan, Lanark.
Would anyone know anything about these 11 children of William and Janet.
William, jrn married Sarah HENDERSON in abt. 1879 and came to Australia in 1884 with their 2 daughters - Alice and Sarah on the steam ship "Australiasian" to live with 2 cousins in the Wallsend area of Newcastle. William was a miner.
