LINDSAY, Peter b abt 1779 possibly in Renfrew. Married Margaret Stivenson 1 August 1818 in Houston, Renfrew. They had three (possibly four) children born in Scotland; Peter b 1820, John b 1823, Robert b 1826. Peter went to Quebec in 1827 with his sister, Janet Pettigrew. Margaret apparently came later, perhaps due to birth of Margaret in 1828; whether in Scotland, at sea, or in Canada, I do not know. I've been unable to find any of the birth/christening records of their children or the parents of either Peter or Margaret Stivenson. If anyone can help with this, I would appreciate it.
