Naismith/Nesmith/Wyllie/Anderson/Mitchell/Doig/Paterson
My g.g.g. grandfather Allan Naismith (Naesmith, Nesmith) married Jane Anderson in 1833 in Dysart, Abbotshall, Fife. I am almost positive that Allans' parents were Alan Nesmith and Christian Wyllie. Allan Naismith and Jane Anderson had a son: Matthew Naismith (my g.g. grandfather) born in 1833 in Abbotshall, Fife and died in 1895 at St. Rollox, Glasgow.
My g.g. grandfather Matthew Naismith b. 1833 married Janet Mitchell (born in 1835 in Dalgety, Fife and died in 1899 at St. Rollox, Glasgow and daughter of Alexander Mitchell and Janet Doig) on 1st January 1855 in Kirkcaldy, Fife. They had the following children all born in Lanarkshire, Glasgow:
Janet Naismith 1856, Jane Naismith 1859, Margaret Mitchell Naismith 1861, Elizabeth Mitchell Naismith 1863, Allan Naismith 1865, Alexander Mitchell Naismith 1867, Mathew Alexander Naismith 1869, Mathew Naismith 1872, Christina Wylie Naismith (my great grandmother) 1875 and David A. Naismith 1878.
My great grandmother Christina Wylie Naismith born in 1875 married Duncan Paterson (born in 1871 in St. Ninians, Bannockburn, Stirlingshire and son of Duncan Paterson and Margaret Gardiner) in 1899 at 46 Princes Square, Glasgow.
