Mitchell/Doig/Orrock/Naismith/Anderson
My g.g.g. grandfather Alexander Mitchell, born about 1804 in Aberdour Fife, married Janet Doig (born in 1806 in Aberdour, Fife and daughter of David Doig and Margaret Orrock) in 1824 in Dalgety or Kinghorn, Fife. They had the following children all born in Dalgety, Fife: Andrew Mitchell 1825, David Mitchell 1827, Alexander Mitchell 1830, Margaret Mitchell 1832, Janet Mitchell (my g.g. grandmother) 1835 and Elisabeth Mitchell 1842.
Elisabeth Mitchell married her cousin David Doig (son of George Doig and Margaret Finn) in 1861 in Kirkcaldy, Fife.
Janet Mitchell (my g.g. grandmother) born in 1835 in Dalgety, Fife, married Matthew Naismith (born in 1833 in Abbotshall, Fife and son of Allan Naismith and Jane Anderson) on 1st January 1855 in Kirkcaldy, Fife.
