I am trying to discover who the parents of George Mitchell are? The census records show that he was born in Edinburgh in about 1837. George Mitchell married Agnes Morrison at Alloa on the 7th July, 1859.
I am also trying to discover the parents of James Murray and his wife, Christina Blair.
James and Christina were married in Edinburgh Parish church on the 30th May, 1852. At the time they lived in Advocates' Close in Edinburgh. We know that James Murray had died before 24th October, 1883. He was either a printer or a painter. Christina Blair was the daughter of George Blair, Mason. By 1852 he was dead.
I am also keen to know about the parents of William Preston and Agnes Orr. They married on the 28th June, 1846 at Ratho and also the 8th June, 1846 at St. Cuthberts, Edinburgh. From the census we know that William Preston was born in 1822 and Agnes Orr was born in 1827 in Corstorphine. Her father was Peter Orr, labourer who was dead at the time of the marriage in 1846.
