I would like to communicate with any Downey's in County Down in hopes that I can get ANY information on my GGGrandfather John Downey who emmigrated to Canada in the early 1800's with 2 brothers and arrived in Quebec. John Downey was born about 1795 and apparently came from Downpatrick. He married Jane Smith (Smyth ?) about 1826 in Canada.ANY INFORMATION OR COMMUNICATIONS FROM THIS AREA REGARDING DOWNEY, PAST OR PRESENT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
