I was born in carrickfergus in 1951,lived in Chichester Square Sunnylands ,attended Sunnylands infants untili left for England just before my 6 th birthday .still have a lot of relatives living in and around carrickfergus .I was known then as Irene Robinson.My father who Is irish is called Samuel Cameron Robinson,he married my mother a polish woman called Barbara.Im looking to find people who may have known me or my family ,Love to make contact with my then teacher .a Miss Baxter, who gave me a very heart felt send off,,,Someone called Austin Heart who lived in the same square as me.Also a girl in my class cant remember her name ,but we were friends (she wore some kind of caliper on her leg at the time ).It would be great if someone out there could remember my leaving day at school ,in the hall,when Miss Baxter stood behind me and held my arms out motioning my arms up and down ,saying this was how the boat i was to travel in to England would go up and down,i remember crying as i was very fond of my classmates and teacher,a very sad day indeed one i will never forget.
