Am searching for any information pertaining to Joseph McKee born in Ireland in 1857. He married Eliza Taggert/Taggart who was also born in Ireland in 1860. I don't know when they left Ireland for America, and I don't know if they were married before leaving, or after arriving in America. They settled in Queens, NY. They had Joseph A. McKee, John Francis McKee born in 1882 (my grandfather)(his birth certificate just shows a checkmark beside number of children born previously, so not sure if that means he was the first, or if there were others ahead of him), James McKee, Hugh McKee, and Mary McKee (she married an O'Connor). Joseph McKee was a fireman at the Jackson Ave. firehouse in Queens. They were Catholic.
