This is a shot in the dark, but I am anxious to find Maureen Smith (maiden name) born 1944. Mother is/was Helena Florence Smith. Grandmother is/was Mr. F. K. Smith. Maureen has a sister Jeanette Smith born Jan 30/46. I am searching on behalf of Jeanette. In August 1947, Helena, Maureen and Jeanette sailed from South Hampton to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and then travelled to Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Jeanette was left with her birth father in Cornwall - Mr. Romeo Lauzon - and Helena and Maureen sailed back to the UK. Helena, Maureen and Jeanette (in 1947) lived at 12 Nyke Ave. Ash, Surrey, UK. Helena had met Romeo when she was a canteen worker at an army camp - Camp Aldershot - and became pregnant with Jeanette. Jeanette has been looking for a long time for her sister Maureen and her mother. If anyone has any information, please e-mail me at g.vout@3web.net.
