I am trying to trace anyone who was in the Good Shepherds Convent, Cork (St. Finbars) between the years of 1952-1965. I remember three Horgans, 3 Hogans, 6 Murphy's, Chrissie Creedon, Marie Hill(Blackie)Joan Ryan, Kathleen Kelly, 3 Crowley's Mary Coffey, Theda Hanley, Noreen Hogan, and may more too numerous to mention, some went on to become nuns, some married, and many emigrated to various parts of the universe! I would love to hear from anyone that remembers me. I visited the old place in 1998-It was standing empty and as I sttod at the top of the avenue I could hear our voices rising from the playground from our games of hurley!
I remember the good the sad, and the bad old days. If the convent has not yet been torn down I would like to organize a re-union is anybody up for that? please e-mail me as soon as you read this-Thank you
