Hello-I am trying to find anyone that was in the Good Shepherds Convent, Cork (St Finbars) between the years of 1952-1965. I remeber 3 Horgans, 3 Hogans, Patricia Footlock, Marie Hill (Blackie) Theda Hanley, Mary Coffey, Crissie Creedon, 6 Murphy's (including Lizzie and Mary) Kathleen O'Keefe, 3 Crowley's, Noreen Hogan, Veronica O'Brien, and others too numerous to mention, many of whom have gone on to marry, became nuns, or emigrated to various parts of the world. I went back to visit the old place in 1998. It was deserted,as I stood at the top of the avenue I could hear our voices coming up from the playground as we played hurley! I remember, the good, the sad, and the bad old days. If the convent has not yet been torn down I would like to organize a reunion-is anybody up for that?
