Arthur William Howe
Bill as he was known was my father he was born 1924 in London. Last known vague address when in London was in Shepherds Bush. His fathers name was also Arthur William Howe, mothers name unknown. His father died when he was quite young and his mother remarried, they ran a corner shop in Shepherds Bush. Dad had two sisters one of called Molly the other name unknown both of which I belive were older than my Dad. When his mother remarried Dad was sent to NCH in Cheshire, he was there until he became of age and then went into the army. He did return home only to find no trace of his family and the road had been bombed. Dad made good of his life after the war he joined the police, married and went on to have two children myself and my sister. Dad died in 1981 aged 57, and I am led to believe that his father also died young. I am curious as to what family there maybe out there, so if you have any information, you may be a cousin or even an aunt I would be grateful for your reply. |
