| Has anyone out there got any TELFORD/TAILFORD/TALEFOR and other variant spellings in the Lambley/Knaresdale/Haltwhistle or Bewcastle areas? Ancestors in farming & gamekeeping, also masons, railway workers. I have 5 generations of Johns and Roberts. Also interested in a grave of a Jonathan Telford buried at St. Cuthberts, Bewcastle. Any info gratefully received. In 1870 approx. some went over to Longhorsley/Rothbury area of Northumberland. Family linked with LIDDELL farming family also. 1900`s some went to Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Willington, Co. Durham. |
