| Seeking information on my gr.grandfather John Ryan who was Irish. Born about 1859, he went to Stranraer and then lived the rest of his life in Ayr. He lived with Barbara (born in Dalry in 1853) who was originally an Aitken but think was married as Cochrane before she met John. Barbara had a daughter named Elizabeth Cochrane then with John she had Eliza Jean, William, James (my grandfather), Barbara, Catherine and Edward. Edward had a son John who died aged 1. If anyone knows of this family I would appreciate any information. |
