My Grandmother, Elizabeth McConnell was born in Wishaw on 11 August 1877 to David and Grace Carlisle Davidson/Davison. David and Grace had travelled from County Down/Antrim sometime in the early 1870's. Grace was born in Boardmills in Co Down in 1837-her parents were Samuel and Mary ( Curry ). David's parents were Robert McConnell and Jane Black. David and Grace were married in August 1857 in Lisburn (Magheradrool parish )
Does anyone have a connection-- I thought that maybe there were family ties in Scotland.
