| Looking for information on a William A Black born 1837 Madison, IL to Andrew black born appr 1794 and Anna Hagler born 1794. William A married Jane C Pool Feb 1867 (in Roscoe, Goodhue, MN) and had two daughters Georgianna 1869 and Charlotte 1871 (both born in Roscoe, Goodhue, MN). I have a letter in my possession referring to the grandparents of either Jane C Pool or William A Black stating that this set of grparents are from Scotland: Matthew Scott who fought in the war of 1812 was a lowlander and Elizabeth MacNaughten who was a highlander. Signed your only aunt and written to Charlotte. Any info on Matthew Scott, Elizabeth MacNaughten, would be helpful. |
