I am searching for further details of my Gt Gt Grandfather Charles BATES. On 1881 census he is living in West Bromwich, Staffordshire with Sarah his wife, son Walter, daughter Elizabeth Horton, her husband Samuel and their children John, William, Samuel & Ann. CHARLES is a Glass Cutter, aged 68 and his birthplace is given as SCOTLAND.
