| Still seeking Margaret Mackenzie, my natural mother, last known working at the Shaftesbury Hotel, Monmouth St, WC2 in London in the 50s from 1951 to 1956/7ish. If anyone has any information about Margaret's whereabouts or at least why she left the hotel then I would be extremely grateful. Her purported dob is 11 jun e 1927 and my birth was concealed from all bar her closest friend and Barnardos, so if you knew Margaret or do now, then please contact me. It appeared that Margaret left the hotel to go abroad as there's no record of her being in the London area after around this time and she did not use the National Health Service after about this time, either. Many thanks to all. Incidentally, I am her daughter Kara dob 19.2.1951, born at St Mary Abbot's Hospital, Kensington. Does this ring any bells? |
