| Still seeking Margaret Mackenzie, my natural mother, who supported me until I was three years of age whilst working as housekeeper at the Shaftesbury Hotel in Monmouth Street, London, WC2 in the 50s. Does anyone remember her? A Lily Ettel remembers Margaret but unfortunately her memory is failing and she only remembers certain things. I am her daughter, born in February 1951 and concealed from her employers and colleagues but someone must know what happened to Margaret. She left the hotel about 1957 and appears to have left London. Certainly, she did not visit her GP after end of the 50s, maybe 1960 latest. This would indicate she either left to marry or go abroad to another job. She stated that she had no family living in this country. Any help greatly appreciated.
