I would like to find out information about my great,great grandfather James Weir, he was married to a Mary Dimmock. I have no idea of the date he was born, married or died. I do not have any idea how many children were born to James and Mary. One of his children however was my great grandfather Duncan who was born in 1828 at MidCalder or Lanarkshire -Scotland.Duncan emigrated to Ballarat Aus to work in the goldfields in 1852.James could have been a laborer/ or balif so possibly led an itinerate lifestyle around Scotland.
